This unit examines the methods of reasoning and analysis in ethics and law in relation to healthcare. The underlying concepts of professional liability, bioethics, informed consent, risk management, interaction with the legal system as well as the health and credentialling of health professionals are considered using case examples from the Australian healthcare system.
