This unit provides an introduction to information management concepts with a particular emphasis on the health care environment. At the end of the unit students should be familiar with contemporary information management and be able to relate this knowledge to particular information requirements in a wide range of health care environments. Students will be familiar with information technology terminology and how technology can be applied to assist the management of complex health care organisations whilst addressing issues such as security and patient confidentiality. | |||
