This unit provides information on cost effective rehabilitation, compensation and health promotion practices for use in industry. It includes legal requirements for rehabilitation and compensation practices, rehabilitation policy development, skills in case management, assessing clients suitability for employment, the role of private insurers in compensation, employee assistance programs, welfare and health promotion programs and evaluating their effectiveness. The roles of a variety of professionals in rehabilitation and health promotion are covered. Case studies provide practical experience. | |||
