In this unit students will develop skills in the management of occupational safety and health using a systems-based approach as detailed in the Australian and New Zealand Standards 4804 and 4801. Students will explore the safety case regime within the context of the international oil and gas industry. Some common occupational safety and health issues that exist in today's work environments are examined and used as case studies to develop an appreciation of occupational safety and health management systems.
