MAN5708 Project Program Management
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
Credit Points: 15

Description:

A program is a collection of change actions (projects and operational activities) grouped together to realise strategic benefits. This means that one of the key differences between projects and programmes is that the programme will deliver benefits that could not have been achieved if the projects had been managed independently of each other.

The role of the Programme Manager is to carry out the management of the Programme’s projects on behalf of the Programme Director/Senior Management.

This unit focuses on:

  • monitoring changes within the program of projects;
  • strategic alignment of programs and projects;
  • timely management of exceptions, slippage and issues of priority; and
  • programme related risks, particularly those associated with interdependencies between projects.
