INTRODUCTION The Bachelor of Business degree has been designed to enable students to succeed in their chosen business profession.
A feature of the course is the Business Edge units: a set of integrated general and professional skills units designed to link academic and professional pathways for educational development. COURSE LOCATION This course is available on Mt Lawley, Joondalup, and Bunbury Campuses. Mount Lawley campus offers part-time study only and not all Majors or units in a Major may be available on this campus. Bunbury campus offers majors in Accounting, Management and Public Practice only. |

MODE OF DELIVERY This course is available in the following modes of delivery - On-campus, and Online. Business Core units and Business Edge units are available off-campus (online). Note: Only the majors of Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Management of Information Technology and Marketing can be completed entirely off-campus (online) however the full selection of elective units may not be available. |

COURSE STRUCTURE
The Bachelor of Business degree requires a minimum of 360 credit points (24 units) and normally requires three years of full-time study or the part-time equivalent.
All students are required to complete the core units below, plus one of the three options indicated. Students can choose between a program with no major (option 1), one Bachelor of Business major (option 2) or two majors (at least one Bachelor of Business major) (option 3).
Core Units
Business Edge (4 units)
Students must complete a minimum of 75 credit points (5 units) of Business core units selected from: MKT1600 Marketing Principles & Practices
Note: As each Bachelor of Business major contains one business core unit within its structure students intending to pursue a single or double major program must ensure their choice of Business core units includes the unit required by that major. Failure to do so may mean that students are required to take additional units to satisfy the requirements of the major.
The following majors that are currently available to take at the Bunbury campus. 1. Accounting: This Major has been designed for students seeking careers as professional accountants or in any financial area of business. The course combines sound accounting principles with practical business applications.
2. Public Practice: This Major is designed for students intending a career in professional accounting or business advice. It extends the students' expertise in business law, taxation, and business planning. This can only be taken as a second Major.
3. Management: This Major has been designed to prepare students for a future in management and focuses on understanding people at work and how organisations operate.
Elective units Students may select elective units offered by ECU in addition to Business Edge units, Business core units and major programs.
