M96 Graduate Diploma in Fisheries Management

The Graduate Diploma of Science (Fisheries Management) provides opportunities for professionals who have graduated in fields other than fisheries science to extend their knowledge in the field of fisheries management.  The course provides a continuing education pathway for those employed by both the public and private sectors that require a broad and practical knowledge of the current practices of fisheries management.  The course covers broad marine management and conservation issues, as well as areas specific to fisheries, such as policy, planning, regulations and compliance, followed by fisheries impact issues and stock assessment procedures.  The course allows for a small fisheries-related project to be carried out.
