NOTE: Course Code N45 is for Australian students and Course Code H07 is for International students.
The Master of Business Administration program is designed to impart essential managerial knowledge, skills and attitudes which will enable graduates to be effective and productive in the workplace. The fundamental theme of the course is managerial decision-making within the context of the manager’s interpersonal and informational roles.
Full details on the regulations governing this course are available from the Faculty. It should be noted they include the following:
A student in the Master of Business Administration program will be recommended for course termination if:
(a) the student fails to maintain a minimum course average of 60%, or (b) the student fails three times during the period of the course (i.e., a total of three fails in any combination of units).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Admission to the program is open to high calibre graduates of recognised tertiary institutions who have had a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Applicants may be interviewed before admission and must provide evidence of their ability to succeed in the program. This may take the form of a satisfactory GMAT score or Grade Point Average or other comparable indicator of undergraduate or professional achievement. Applicants must also demonstrate competence in oral and written English. Those for whom English is a second language must demonstrate proficiency in the English language at a level consistent with a satisfactory pass in the IELTS or TOEFL tests or equivalent.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY The course is available by part-time study only, at the South West campus (Bunbury).
COURSE STRUCTURE Foundation Studies (8 units) Plus Specialist Studies (4 units) or Electives and Project.
Foundation Studies Foundation Studies introduce fundamental principles in eight units of coursework during which the student will develop a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and skills required to execute successfully the management function in both domestic and international markets. |
