G60 Bachelor of Science (Applied and Analytical Chemistry)
The Bachelor of Science (Applied and Analytical Chemistry) course provides students with a thorough background in analytical chemistry with a strong emphasis on instrumentation and the development of variety of important analytical skills. It is designed to meet industries' need for capable, dynamic and innovative graduates with well-developed technical skills and a sound theoretical knowledge in analytical chemistry. In addition the course is designed to give students business and managerial skills providing students with greater employment opportunities. The Royal Australian Chemical Institute has accredited this course allowing students to become members of this nationally recognised institute. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 1. Applicants who have completed a relevant TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma or equivalent. or 2. Applicants with TEE Chemistry, may enrol in this course while concurrently undertaking TAFE studies. Students selecting this pathway are required to liaise with and obtain approval from the Course Coordinator for their concurrent ECU and TAFE studies. COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY The Bachelor of Science (Applied and Analytical Chemistry) course is available by full-time or part-time study on Joondalup campus. COURSE STRUCTURE To complete this course, students will obtain a total value of 360 credit points.
