M25 Bachelor of Marketing

Not only is marketing an essential part of any business, but it's also one of the most exciting areas to work in.  The Bachelor of Marketing is designed to give students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a stimulating career in marketing.  The early part of the program provides a general overview of marketing, and develops skills to successfully communicate messages, understand consumer behaviour, research a market, use appropriate promotional techniques and apply marketing strategies to solve problems and meet customer needs.  The third year of study gives students added depth and the opportunity to specialise in specific marketing areas to meet their interests and capabilities.  For example, students may specialise in developing strategies to compete in global markets; or in the advertising and sale promotion area to ensure effective messages are received by consumers; or working with agencies and governments to promote social and/or health messages.  The final unit (industry placement) gives students an added career advantage by letting them apply and refine their skills in a real-world situation.

Therefore, the Bachelor of Marketing enables students to acquire the generic knowledge and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of a successful marketer.
