The Graduate Diploma of Science (Environmental Management) provides opportunities for professionals who have graduated in fields other than environmental management to extend their knowledge in the field of environmental management. The course provides a continuing education pathway for those employed in a variety of private and public sector organisations that require a broad and practical knowledge of the current approaches and techniques that are essential for environmental problem solving. The course covers the areas of environmental impact assessment, planning and monitoring set in the context of our major ecosystems, and emphasises the global, regional and local nature of environmental issues.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Normal admission requirement is a degree in an area other than environmental science or environmental management.
Students must have access to a computer capable of accessing the Internet, and CDROM technology.
MODE OF DELIVERY
The course will be offered in external mode only. Delivery will be via materials delivered largely on-line or on CDROM.
