V60 / H83 Graduate Certificate of e-Health

INTRODUCTION

The Graduate Certificate in e-Health is designed to give graduates the opportunity to build an extra dimension of Information Technology to their health related professional experience and knowledge. They will then be in a position to leverage their professional experience and so add value to their current and future positions, thereby also improving their prospects for advancement. During the course students will gain skills and knowledge in the several ways health data, information and knowledge are processed. They will also be given the opportunity to work on projects relevant to their work and interests in the field of e-Health and work with fellow professionals on a wide range of topics thereby seeing problems, applications and solutions experienced in those areas.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An undergraduate degree or equivalent prior learning including at least five years appropriate professional experience.

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

 
MIS4110 Healthcare Informatics IV 15
 
Select three units from the following:
MIS4293 Internet IV 15
MIS4209 e-Health Issues IV * 15
CSG4130 Applied Communications 15
CSI4104 Information Security 15
CSG4301 Individual Project 15
 
Students must choose MIS4110 Healthcare Informatics and 3 other units from the list of 5 units which includes a project unit.
 
*MIS4209 e-Health Issues should be taken after completion of MIS4110 Healthcare Informatics.
