H78 / V53 Master of Medical Engineering

The Master of Medical Engineering by coursework is a two semester full-time postgraduate course offered jointly by the four West Australian public universities: Edith Cowan University, Curtin University of Technology, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia. The testamur and transcripts will carry the logos of the four participating universities.

This course will provide students with practical understanding, skills and knowledge for the use and development of medical technology. The principal employment destinations for graduates will be the Medical Engineering departments of public and private hospitals in Australia and overseas, and companies carrying out research and development relating to medical technology.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The general regulations of each university should apply. The normal admission requirement is an Honours degree in engineering or science related to medical engineering. In exceptional circumstances, a graduate without an Honours degree but with several years of work experience in medical engineering or a related field may be admitted into the course.

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

The course is available by full-time or part-time study. Students will be required to travel between campuses of the participating universities.
