Q99 / H72 Master of e-learning

The Master of e-learning is designed for those who are intending to move into the new e-Learning paradigm, whether as a training or education manager, an instructional designer, a teacher or lecturer or as a training provider for business or government.  It will provide successful students with opportunities to drive e-learning into both the corporate and public worlds of education and training.

The programme has been developed to provide an opportunity for students to develop expertise in the design and development of effective e-learning environments.  The course is designed to provide students with a sound conceptual basis and grounded skills in the application of contemporary learning theories to the design of a wide range of e-learning settings.  Through the course, students will be exposed to models of best practice of e-learning and will develop skills and expertise in all stages of the design, development and implementation process.

There are two entry paths to the degree:

  • The normal entry requirement is a degree in another discipline.
  • Applicants without normal academic qualifications but with substantial industrial experience in either education or training may apply for entry.  For the purposes of this degree substantial industry experience is normally deemed to be a minimum of five (5) years.

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF DELIVERY

The course has been designed for online delivery alone.  There will be no face-to-face component and no need to  use on-campus facilities.
