INTRODUCTION The Graduate Certificate of Communications is a one semester full-time or equivalent part-time course designed to provide graduates of other disciplines with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of a specialised field of communications.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY The course is available by full-time or part-time study on Mount Lawley campus.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS An appropriate three year degree award from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent. Journalism
The Graduate Certificate of Communications (Journalism) enables graduates to learn the principles of newsgathering, research and various forms of journalistic writing, such as news, features, review, sports writing, consumer information and on-line journalism. They will gain familiarity with Media Law and Ethics and, at the end of their course are expected to present articles of publishable standard. |
