G14 Bachelor of Arts (Language Studies) Honours

Bachelor of Arts Honours

 

Within the School of International, Cultural and Community Studies, the following Bachelor of Arts Honours are offered:

 

Drama Studies

English

Geography

History

Language Studies

Politics and Government

Religious Studies

Social Sciences

Sociology and Anthropology

Writing

 

Honours degrees are four year full-time programs, the final year of which involves research oriented study.

 

In order to be eligible for consideration for provisional admission to Honours, students shall normally have a minimum course average of 70 per cent at the end of semester 1, year three, of their current study program.

 

The same course average shall normally be required for confirmation of admission to an Honours course.

The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Language Studies is a four year full-time program, the fourth year of which is open to students who have a Bachelor of Arts major in French or Japanese.  The final year of the course involves a research study culminating in the writing of a thesis.
