The Master of Midwifery (Research) course prepares midwives to practice in the field of research. Coursework units are included which are designed to impart the skills required to conduct research. These units prepare students to be independent critical thinkers with the ability to develop and implement a research proposal relevant to midwifery. The course is directed both at students with an interest in research and those planning a research career. This course provides a pathway to doctoral studies.

The thesis component of this course is entirely research based and equivalent to one year of full time study. Each semester students nominate, if they wish to enrol into research thesis unit NUR6200 at 50% or 100% of full time enrolment. |
Students are required to continue re-enrolling in the thesis component of their study until the thesis is submitted for examination. |
