C43 Certificate III in Dance

This nationally recognised qualification provides the career-minded dance student with specialised training in ballet and contemporary dance to complement intensive studies undertaken in private studios. It allows the student to work at a high level of achievement in dance while continuing formal secondary schooling. Ballet classes include specialist work in floor barre, barre, centre practice and alignment. Contemporary dance classes develop an increased vocabulary through floorwork, technical combinations and compositional elements. The Certificate program is designed for those students who intend to audition for tertiary dance programs.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants apply directly to WAAPA.

Entry Requirements
