L55 Graduate Certificate in Mental Health (Forensic) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Students are required to successfully complete 60 credit points (three units). The Graduate Certificate in Mental Health (Forensic) course will expand the mental health clinician’s knowledge base and enable informed and competent practice in settings that have mentally disordered offenders. The course equips students with the necessary assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills required for working with mentally disordered offenders in the forensic and community setting. The course also enables students to explore their attitudes to mentally disordered offenders to encourage a positive approach to this group of clients. |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Entrants are required to hold a minimum of a bachelor degree or an acceptable equivalent, be currently registered with the appropriate professional registration body (for example the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia) and have a minimum of one year post-registration experience or equivalent. |
