B52 Bachelor of Science(Communication&Information Technology)/Bachelor of Science(Library Technology)

The Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology)/Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) is a double degree that aims to produce graduates capable of filling senior roles in the information services, information brokerage, information management and knowledge management industries.  The course is designed to address market needs for professional information services staff with a broad range of high level skills in information management and information technology.  Professional recognition for this course is being sought from the Australian Library and Information Association (graduates are eligible for membership of The Australian Computer Society).

 

It is possible to transfer from the Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology), and the Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology) programs with full credit.

 

LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

The four year course is available by full-time or part-time study on Mount Lawley campus.

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology)/Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) is a 32 unit, four year full-time award which may also be studied in the part-time mode.  Students complete the following units:
