E65 Bachelor of Science (Library Technology)

The Faculty of Computing, Health and Science offers a general Bachelor of Science with a wide range of discipline concentrations and a number of more specialised Bachelor of Science courses providing specifically identified major studies.

 

Requirements for each of the specific awards offered in the School of Computer and Information Science are detailed below.

 

The more flexible award is described earlier in the Handbook.

 

INTRODUCTION

This is a three year full-time (or part-time equivalent) program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree.

 

The Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) combines a core program, designed to prepare graduates for a para-professional role in the operation, maintenance and utilisation of library systems and staff supervision, with a variety of Minor Studies and Elective units.

 

Currently enrolled students may transfer from the two year Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology) to the Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) program with full credit.  No further intake into the Associate Degree is planned.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students studying remotely by flexible delivery should have access to a computer capable of accessing the Internet and down loading on line study materials.
