Y89 Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security)

This course is designed to prepare students for careers in the field of cyber security, including areas such as network security, computer forensics, information warfare and wireless security. The program focuses on the practical and theoretical dimensions of IT security across a range of fundamental areas such as network security and vulnerability assessment, information security, digital forensics, wireless device security and database security. Students will achieve a solid grounding in conventional computer and network security concepts and skills. In addition the course is designed to meet the changing landscape of secure computing which involves not only computers but also telecommunications networks and network enabled devices such as smartphones.

Standard university entry requirements apply.


Students who have completed a TAFE Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent in an allied field may be admitted with advanced standing. Some students may be eligible for recognition of prior learning, subject to approval.
