INTRODUCTION The Master of Information Services aims to produce graduates capable of filling senior roles in the information services, information brokerage, information management and knowledge management industries. The course is designed to address market needs for professional information services staff with a broad range of high level skills in information services, information management and information technology. Students may exit the Master of Information Services after twelve months of full-time study with a Graduate Diploma of Science (Information Services). In certain streams, students may exit the Master of Information Services after twelve months of part-time study with a Graduate Certificate in Information Services.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The minimum admission requirement is completion of a three-year tertiary qualification. Special admission requirements are detailed under individual streams below.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY This three semester (180 credit point) course is available by full-time or part-time study on Mount Lawley campus or through online delivery. Off-campus students MUST have access to a computer capable of accessing the Internet and Ecourse. Online students are not required to attend on campus for any part of the program.
COURSE STRUCTURE The Master of Information Services is a three semester (180 credit point) full-time award with exit points after 60 points (Graduate Certificate) in certain streams and 120 points (Graduate Diploma).
Students must select one of the following three streams and must complete all units in the selected stream for the Master award. |
