Children's Literature Major
MAAAGJ
Y03 BACHELOR OF ARTS/BACHELOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

Literature is food for the mind, while Children’s Literature nourishes future generations and future leaders. This is why our exciting new major in Children’s Literature is so compelling, for it will engage with community agencies that focus on the child by combining literature units with more applied units from across the University. The major has all the hallmarks of the best in cross-disciplinary courses: the exploration of ideas and the opportunity to put them into practice. The major is specifically designed to enable its graduates to pursue a range of career pathways that are vital to the health and well-being of the community. A Major in Children’s Literature will equip graduates for a variety of employment opportunities in, for example, the fields of Psychology, Writing and Education, including Teacher Librarianship.
