K99 Bachelor of Aviation

The Bachelor of Aviation is a three year full-time (or part-time equivalent) course that provides a focussed professional education and graduate status for those seeking to enter the aviation industry. It is a technically oriented aviation program that covers the knowledge requirements of the Commercial Pilot License of the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

 

The Bachelor of Aviation will challenge you to develop the required professional attitudes of a professional pilot. Although the course caters primarily for future airline pilots, it also prepares graduates for a range of careers within the aviation industry other than piloting such as airline operations or aviation management.

 

Note: Applicants who do not meet the mathematics prerequisite for this course should consider applying for the Bachelor of Science (Aviation) as a pathway. Students can complete a bridging mathematics unit within the Bachelor of Science (Aviation) and gain eligibilty to apply for the Bachelor of Aviation with advanced standing.

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Satisfactory performance in WACE Mathematics 3A/3B or 3C/3D, or Mathematics: Specialist 3A/3B or 3C/3D, or equivalent.

WACE Physics 3A/3B, or equivalent, is desirable.

 

Note: Students who have not passed WACE Physics 3A/3B or equivalent will be required to complete a bridging unit during the first year of their studies.

COURSE STRUCTURE

This course comprises a total of 360 credit points from 24 units, this includes 22 core aviation units (330 credit points) and 2 electives (30 credit points).
