The Associate Degree of Hospitality and Tourism Management is designed for those seeking to establish themselves in the hospitality and tourism industries and for those already working there. It provides an introduction to the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for a career in the hospitality and tourism industries. The course commences with an introduction to the hospitality and tourism industries and focuses upon an application of the key aspects of marketing, e-business systems, planning and development, services marketing and management, commercial food service management, food and beverage management, rooms division management and research methods. This course also provides students with the opportunity to gain further knowledge in various fields (such as event management, marketing, human resource management, or public relations) to give their studies a stronger industry focus in that area.
An Associate Degree of Hospitality and Tourism Management degree offers career opportunities in the diverse areas of hospitality and tourism businesses, including food and beverage management, resort and gaming management, tourist attraction and theme park management, visitor management, event and conference management, hotel and restaurant management, and retail travel and tour operation management. |
