K86 Bachelor of Science (Psychology) Honours

This course involves one year of full‑time study or two years of part-time study on successful completion of the Bachelor of Science (Psychology) or equivalent accredited three year degree in psychology at another institution.  Students are admitted into the program in February of each year.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of the Bachelor of Science (Psychology) or equivalent accredited three year degree in Psychology at another institution.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students normally require a course average of 70 per cent to apply for admission. In addition, students should have, at a minimum, a credit average in second and third year units, and a credit average in the majority of psychology units. If there are many excellent applications, performance in second and third year psychology units will also be taken into consideration. Students should also have demonstrated aptitude for, and commitment to, research.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Students must complete four fourth year coursework units and a research thesis, totalling 120 credit points. The research thesis is worth 50% of the final grade for the course.
