INTRODUCTION The Graduate Diploma in Information Security and Intelligence is a course designed to meet the demand for security and intelligence professionals in government, law enforcement, and industry. It should take two semesters to complete in full time mode and four semesters part-time. The course has two stages and the candidate can exit after successful completion of Stage 1 with a Graduate Certificate in Information Security and Intelligence. The whole course can be completed in on-line mode if desired. Successful graduates of this course are eligible for entry to the Master of Information Security and Intelligence course.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Students may enter with an undergraduate degree, or five years appropriate work experience. Students who do not have an undergraduate degree must successfully complete a Graduate Certificate in Information Security and Intelligence before continuing with Stage 2.
Students with an existing degree must complete the two compulsory level 4 units before continuing to Stage 2 units. (Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Computer Security programme are eligible to enter Stage 2.)
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY This course is available in on-line mode and on campus (predominantly at the Mount Lawley campus).
COURSE STRUCTURE The course has two stages. Each stage is equivalent to one semester full time.
All units are offered online and on campus unless stated otherwise.
