P44 / F21 Graduate Certificate in Information Services | ||||||||||||||||||
INTRODUCTION The Graduate Certificate in Information Services offers a first award at graduate level for those interested in school librarianship or records and archives management. It is intended for students who want an introduction to industry best practice and to the knowledge and skills underlying professional information services delivery and management in these areas.
The Graduate Certificate in Information Services is recognised as an exit point from the Graduate Diploma of Science (Information Services) and the Master of Information Services.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Information Services are eligible for advanced standing in certain streams of the Graduate Diploma of Science (Information Services) and the Master of Information Services.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS The minimum admission requirement is the completion of a three-year tertiary qualification. Special admission requirements are detailed under the individual streams below.
COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY This twelve month course is available by part-time study on Mount Lawley campus or through online study. Students MUST have access to a computer capable of accessing the Internet and Ecourse. Online students are not required to attend on campus for any part of the program.
The Graduate Certificate in Information Services is a four unit, twelve month, part-time award. Students may elect to study one unit per semester and complete the award over two years.
Students must select one of the following two streams and must successfully complete all units in the selected stream for the Graduate Certificate award. |
