I27 Master of Hospitality Management

This course offers undergraduates from disciplines other than Hospitality the opportunity to develop both managerial and operational skills necessary to be successful managers in the global Hospitality Industry.  While the one and a half year course is composed of 12 units which emphasise discrete aspects of the Hospitality industry, the course is composed in a way that links all of the individual units into a single body of knowledge.  Graduates will be equipped with the necessary skills, understanding and personal attributes to pursue a career in the Management of Hospitality enterprises ranging from owner /operator businesses to trans-national five star operations.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for admission into the Master of Hospitality Management will have a Bachelor Degree in a discipline of study other than Hospitality.

Candidates with a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in a business related discipline will be considered for admission.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Master of Hospitality Management is comprised of 12 units, each of 15 credit points for a total of 180 credit points.  The duration of the course is one and a half years full time or equivalent part time.  The first five units of the course provide a foundation in a range of business areas which are built upon in the remaining seven Hospitality Management specific units
