K55 Bachelor of Sport Management Honours

The Bachelor of Sport Management Honours requires a fourth year of study after students have completed the third year of the Bachelor of Sport Management. This course is designed to provide research based studies in theoretical and applied areas of sport management. It aims to develop knowledge in the discipline area and ability relating to research methods in sport management. Students will be engaged in a research investigation resulting in the production of a thesis with either a theoretical or an applied focus.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the honours program a student must normally have achieved a course WAM of 70% in the degree program.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Honours program is a one year full-time course and students are required to complete the following 120 credit points (6 units):
 
Semester 1
SPM4172 Honours Thesis Development 30 
SPM4117 Leisure and Sport Policy Development 15
BSA4701 Business Research Methods 15
Or a relevant research unit selected from the University Handbook, in consultation with the supervisor.
 
Semester 2
LSC4002 Leisure Sciences 2 15
LSC4003 Leisure Sciences 3 15
