K33 Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Communications

The Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Communications double degree is designed to enable students to succeed in today’s rapidly changing society.  It will broaden students’ understanding of themselves, their community and the larger world as well as provide them with the theoretical and practical dimensions of communication.  It is a challenging educational program leading to a degree which is internationally recognised in the global marketplace.  The double degree provides students with lifelong transferable skills equipping them for employment in a wide range of professions, including Communications professions, and for further study in a variety of disciplines.

Communications Foundation program
Students must complete the following core units:

CMM1108 Communications and Digital Technology 15
CMM1109 Cyberculture Studies 15
CMM1113 Media and Social Context 15
 
Students must complete 60 credit points from the following elective units:
CCA1103 Creativity: Theory, Practice and History 15
CMM1104 Writing for the Media 15
CMM1107 Creative Thinking 15
CMM1112 Communication Strategies 15
FAV1101 Introduction to Digital Video 15
IMM1121 Digital Photomedia 15
IMM1122 Publishing on the World Wide Web 15
PHO1105 Photo Work 15
Elective 1 from outside of C&CA (15 credit points)
