I23 Master of Professional Accounting | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Master of Professional Accounting is designed to provide an opportunity for graduates whose first degree is in an area other than accounting to undertake major studies in accounting and law that will lead to the acquisition of accounting skills and knowledge and the fulfillment of the entry requirements of the accounting professional bodies. The course has been accredited by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants as meeting the educational requirements for membership and/or entry to their professionals programmes.
The course may be completed in eighteen months (three semesters) full-time study or three years (six semesters) part-time study.
Students who do not have a recognised undergraduate degree but have a qualification recognised as equivalent to an Australian Advanced Diploma are advised to apply for the Master of Professional Accounting (Extended) course.
Students who are required to complete eight or fewer units for accounting professional body recognition may apply for either the Graduate Diploma of Business (Professional Accounting) course or the Graduate Certificate of Business (Professional Accounting) course, as appropriate, for their requirements. |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Students must hold an approved undergraduate degree in a discipline other than accounting from a recognised Australian institution or an approved undergraduate degree in a discipline other than accounting from an non-Australian institution recognised under NOOSR guidelines as equivalent to an Australian undergraduate degree.

MODE OF DELIVERY This course is available in the following modes of delivery - On-campus, and Online. (All required units are offered online, except for ENG5230 and BES5100. Hence external students have options to either take ENG5230 and/or BES5100 on-campus or substitute them with other postgraduate units that are offered online with approval from the Course Coordinator). |
