I44 Master of Criminology and Justice
The Master of Criminology and Justice is designed to offer guided study to help generate new knowledge and understandings of how to manage complex social issues related to policing, justice and security. Issues from simple law enforcement to complex social management are explored. This course supports the student in preparing a 10,000 word paper that shows competence in research and writing. The paper will demonstrate theoretical coherence, appropriate use of a research method, ethical understandings of conduct and data collection, correct analysis of data, appropriate conclusions and its relevance to justice, criminology, compliance or law enforcement. Learning will be independent and supervision will be in group and individual settings.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor degree in Criminology and Justice or closely related field; or Bachelor degree in a different field plus at least two years of appropriate professional experience. Applicants who do not meet admission requirements to this course may be eligible to apply for the Graduate Certificate of Criminology and Justice.

COURSE LOCATION This course is available on Joondalup Campus.

MODE OF STUDY This course is available by Full-time, or Part-time mode.

MODE OF DELIVERY This course is available in the following modes of delivery - On-campus, and Online.

COURSE STRUCTURE Students must complete a minimum of 180 points (10 units). Students are encouraged to seek guidance from the Course Coordinator when choosing Stage 1 units.
