This course adopts a contemporary approach to police education. It seeks to develop reflective and educated practitioners. Graduates will possess a significant background in contemporary theory and research that informs policing practice. They will also possess the skills that are required for work. These units facilitate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary policing and skills in police practice within the context of criminology and justice. Upon completion of this course, and after meeting all entrance requirements for Western Australia Police, the graduate is guaranteed employment with WA Police as a probationary police constable.
