Description:

This unit explores the changing nature of the school as an institution. The unit will address the social, cultural, economic and political evolution of schooling, highlighting the diversity of school cultures, the different education sectors and the specialist programs available in schools, using Australia as an example. Students will examine recent curriculum reform, current curriculum practices and the reasons for these changes. Students will have the opportunity to further develop information and communication technology competencies that will enhance the teaching and learning process.
