This unit will develop specific knowledge of legal issues and requirements in administering an organisation within a community context. Specific areas of business law will be examined. Students will be introduced to issues in Company Law such as processes of incorporation, trading rights and obligations and the rights and duties of shareholders and directors. They will examine aspects of commercial law, contracts and employment law and issues in the regulation of equal opportunity initiatives. Some of the cases in commercial law that have influenced contemporary issues in relation to the business environment will be examined. Students will be encouraged to view these issues from an Indigenous perspective and experience. | |||
