This unit engages pre-service teachers in course work and workplace learning in a kindergarten or pre-primary setting. The workplace learning will consist of a minimum of eight distributed days and no less than five weeks in the school setting.The campus-based course work examines policy, practice and documentation for kindergarten and pre-primary settings as well as looking more broadly at aspects of reporting and planning across the enitre early childhood phase of schooling. During the kindergarten or pre-primary workplace learning experience, pre-service teachers will develop and refine planning, teaching and evaluation skills in order to demonstrate their ability to take on the professional role of teacher. | |||
