W05 Graduate Certificate of Business (Event Management)

The Graduate Certificate of Business (Event Management) is designed as an introductory tertiary qualification for professionals working in event management, or those new to the field. It is designed to introduce students to the academic study of event management and to develop their skills, knowledge and experiences in relation to the marketing and/or public relations and communications strategies relevant for event managers, alongside conceptual and practical competency in the area of event operations management.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An undergraduate degree in a discipline other than event management OR equivalent prior learning including at least five years appropriate professional experience.

 
COURSE LOCATION
This course is available on Mt Lawley, and Joondalup Campuses.

Some units in this course are only offered at Mount Lawley campus or off-campus.
 
MODE OF STUDY
This course is available by Part-time mode.
 
MODE OF DELIVERY
This course is available in the following modes of delivery - On-campus, and Online.

This degree can be completed off-campus (online) although the full selection of elective units may not be available to off-campus students.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

The Graduate Certificate of Business (Event Management) requires successful completion of 60 credit points (4 units). The course comprises the following four units:

 
TSM5202 Introduction to Event Management 15
TSM5501 Event Operations Management 15
 
Plus one unit selected from:
PRN4115 Public Relations Event Management 15
MKT5707 Promotional Marketing 15
CMM4120 Integrated Marketing Communication 15
