SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS A recognised three-year undergraduate degree in a discipline other than archives and records is the minimum admission requirement for this course. Graduates from all other disciplines are invited to apply.
Students with appropriate professional experience are eligible for professional membership of the Australian Society of Archivists and the Records Management Association of Australia if they graduate with a Graduate Diploma of Science (Information Services) in this stream.
Students who have successfully completed the Executive Certificate in Records Management, who have a minimum of two years experience in the field and who are also members of the Records Management Association of Australia and/or the Australian Society of Archivists may apply for admission and advanced standing in this steam.
STREAM STRUCTURE
Part-time students should enrol in either IST4121 or IST4136 in their first semester of study. The stream will foster an understanding of records and archives management as inter-related record-keeping activities, building in a logical manner upon knowledge already acquired in previous units.
