M90 Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Rehabilitation)

The Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Rehabilitation) course is designed to give students the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and sound professional skills in the treatment of people who are living with, or at risk of chronic disease, injury or disability.  Successful completion of this degree will satisfy the requirements necessary for Exercise Physiologist accreditation by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).  

This is a four year 480 credit point course (or part-time equivalent). The fourth year of the degree consists of five units  including a clinical practicum.

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An ATAR of 75 is required for admission to this course.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course comprises 480 credit points (twenty nine units of study):

  • Twenty four mandatory units (405 credit points)
  • One prescribed elective unit (15 credit points)
  • Four recommended elective units (60 credit points)

 

In year 3, an Exercise and Sports Science Practicum unit (15 points) extends over the full year.

In year 4, a Clinical Exercise Physiology Practicum unit (40 credit points) extends over the full year.
