Description:

This external unit provides a detailed overview of the current health status of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The various sources of information necessary for the assessment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health status are examined, including attention to the limitations of these sources. The unit introduces students to the epidemiological concepts and techniques necessary for the monitoring, surveillance and research of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health status.
