DES2102 Design Practices: Pre-press

Description:

This unit takes students through the processes and methodologies of preparing digital files - be they image files, vector files, text files or layout files - and making them ready for print.  Pre-press is a complex intersection between design, particularly Graphic Design and the industrial print industry. This is an industry-focused unit requiring a great deal of technical knowledge and understanding in such areas as the preparation of documents and images, colour correction and methods of transferring digital files.
