NCS3201 Professional Capacity Building

Description:

The broad intent of this unit is to support students to develop self-direction in developing competence in new areas of their practice.  In the generic component of this unit, students will complete three modules in the areas of: reflective practice; nursing governance and scopes of practice; and self-driven professional development.  Having developed an understanding of assessing and addressing the requirements of a new practice area, students will apply this to a specific elective module stream.  These streams may include (but not limited to) advancing mental health skills, advanced pain assessment and management, continence care, health promotion and perioperative nursing care.
