FAV2105 Screen Evolution

Description:
In this unit, students will explore the creative and communicative possibilities of digital screen technologies. They will examine a range of perspectives that provide an historical and contemporary framework for the critical and aesthetic investigation of screen language from classic avant-garde cinema through to contemporary video installation. Students explore the culture of moving image technology, from its representation, reproduction, distribution and reception and are expected to experiment with the potentialities of the cinematic imagination and its possibilities in the image industry.
