C55 BACHELOR OF SUSTAINABILITY | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This Major is intended only for students in the Bachelor of Sustainability, the major consists of 120 credit points (seven units). A yearlong (30 credit point) professional placement unit provides opportunities for extended work-integrated learning experiences within community. Two of the units within this major are also located in the Bachelor of Sustainability as core units.
The focus is on utilising the whole community approach in shaping sustainable communities. Graduates will develop an understanding of people and their relationships with their communities, strategies to support people and communities to work together to meet common goals and skills in building communities to be environments where people want to work and live. Students will be able to apply the knowledge necessary to support people to remain engaged with their community, build social capital, mobilise resources and develop partnerships to plan sustainable and liveable environments. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
