I48 Master of Nursing

By Coursework

 

The Master of Nursing by Coursework is designed for Registered Nurses wishing to continue their professional and academic development to advance their leadership, research, teaching or administrative roles. Successful completion of this higher degree involves coursework and the completion of a project.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Standard Postgraduate entry requirements apply.

 
SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

a) Prospective students must provide a certified copy of their current nursing registration. The course coordinator maintains the right to approve all evidence for admission. Although a relevant bachelor degree is generally required, Registered Nurses with a hospital-based qualification will be eligible for enrolment at the discretion of the course coordinator, after assessment of relevant prior education and/or experience;

b) a minimum of two years post-registration full-time nursing experience; and

c) a certified copy of the prospective student’s proof of identity containing a photograph is required (for example a passport or driver’s license).

 

Students are required to provide:

a) the names of two referees; and

b) a copy of the prospective student’s current curriculum vitae demonstrating a minimum of two years full-time clinical professional nursing experience; and

c) overseas applicants must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language (e.g., IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 550).
