This unit set is available in the following courses:
I52 MASTER OF CLINICAL NURSING

The Master of Clinical Nursing (Chronic Disease Management) comprises nine units (180 Credit Points). This unit set allows Registered Nurses to develop expertise in the management of people with chronic illness  and disease within the acute and community setting.

 

Students may exit with a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing following completion of 60 credit points and with a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nursing following completion of 120 credit points.

YEAR ONE
Semester One
NNS5113 Advanced Nursing Science 1 * 20 
NSP5302 Advanced Nursing Practice 2 * 20 
Semester Two
NNS5202 Advanced Nursing Science 2 * 20 
 
The student may exit with the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing.
 
NSP5302 is a year long clinical practice unit.
 
Subjects marked with * may be substituted for units approved by the Course Coordinator.
 
 
YEAR TWO
Semester One
NUR5113 Evaluating Practice in Health 20 
NST5158 Independent Study 20 
CLM4100 Clinical Leadership and Management 20 
 
The student may exit with the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nursing.
 
Semester Two
MHP5101 Master Health Project 20 
MHP5202 Master Health Project 20 
Elective (20 credit points)
 
 
 
The project involves two units of study, which should be completed sequentially. Therefore, students studying at the Master award level full-time should enrol in MHP5101 in Semester 2, Year One instead of NST5148. NST5148 is then completed in Semester Two.
