Description:

The aim of this unit is to explore the importance of dye, stitch and print as skills used for embellishing cloth. It is expected that an understanding will be gained of natural and synthetic dyeing, machine and hand stitching and block and screen printing. These processes are further enhanced with consideration of their place in the history of Textiles.
