Utilising theme-based and task-based approaches, this Japanese language unit aims at developing the four language skills in an integrated way within the context of Japanese Arts. This unit focuses on Japanese fables, fairy-tales, memoirs and contemporary short fiction to develop students' understanding of Japanese culture, society and language. Students will be asked to respond to the texts from a personal and emotional viewpoint as well as analyse them for content and meaning. Full Unit Outline | |||
